Choose a few relevant projects
Select work that relates to the role. A frontend applicant might show a responsive interface. A video editor could include a short reel with notes on pacing and editing. A social media applicant might share a content calendar or an approved campaign example.
Give each example some context
Explain the brief, the audience and your part in the work. Name the tools where useful, but spend more time explaining the decisions you made. If it was a team project, be specific about the parts you owned.
Make it easy to review
Check that links open without an access request. Keep the most relevant work near the top and label each example clearly. For a developer, include a working demo where possible and a short guide to the repository.
Keep client information private
Use public work or samples you have permission to share. Remove account details, private messages and personal information. If the original work is confidential, describe your process or create a separate demonstration using fictional data.
Connect the portfolio to your application
